The Sect of the Horned God, (the Horned God symbolizing the natural world and the human as beast) is an occult educational foundation that encompasses a \u201cLeft-Hand Path\u201d philosophy. We understand that all religions and occult practices “work”, but not for the reason most think. For, in truth, when one delves into the spiritual, what they are doing is establishing a better connection with the psyche through the use of myth and metaphor. A worthy pursuit, but one where the individual need not put faith in the absurd. In these pages, you will not find the mindless ramblings of \u201cfaith and worship\u201d doctrines, but rather an outlook reliant upon an analytical study of philosophy, psychology, mythology and the occult.<\/p>\n

The Sect of the Horned God travels together out of an innate solidarity, not out of any fear-based dogmas. We are not sheep in a flock, but rather a pack of individuals with a passion for life who encourage one another to keep moving forward to that eventual goal of \u201cself-deification\u201d, or Sinister Illumination<\/em>. Here is where we differ with a standard Satanic organization. Many within the Satanic\/left-hand path community block the path while they shout platitudes proclaiming their divinity. We, on the other hand, feel that self-deification should entail more than a simple proclamation. It should take time, study and reflection. One\u2019s goal of self-deification should be equivalent to what Nietzsche called the \u201cHigher Man\/Woman, and The Sect is here to help in that pursuit. We are fully aware, though, that this is not done for altruistic reasons; it\u2019s because having others to learn from, lean upon, makes one\u2019s own personal journey easier, but not too easy. The left-hand path is never easy.<\/p>\n

Our mission is to bridge the gap between the spiritual and the psychological, plant the seed of doubt in many, fuel the \u201cBlack Flame\u201d in some and bring about the \u201cHigher Man\/Woman\u201d in those willing to work at it.<\/p>\n
