The Sect of the Horned God, a legal entity, was founded in 2011 by Thomas LeRoy and remains one of the fastest growing Atheistic Left-Hand Path organizations not only in the cyber-world, but in ‘real life’. The Sect remains connected with members and non-members through on-line venues and yearly festivals that have attracted thousands of people. Membership is exploding worldwide. With this success, however, there are those who chose to ride on the coat-tails of the Sect, rather than building their own vision: impersonators, scam artists, etc. We have all met them, and the Sect of the Horned God, like many before us, has had to deal with this type of malicious and foolish charlatan. I guess it comes with the package. There is only one Sect of the Horned God. Any others claiming to be and not sanctioned by Thomas LeRoy and Mistress Babylon Consort are simply not the real thing.
We are not theist and we are not going away.
The Sect of the Horned God would like to thank Zach Black, of the Satanic International Network for making this video.
Zach, Next time you’re in our home, we’ll make you breakfast again, anytime!

An absolutely fascinating book I picked up at a thrift store for 2 bucks! I’ve been getting into it just recently, but I am intrigued by ‘Bicameralism’ which is defined (from wiki) as…
“Bicameralism (the philosophy of “two-chamberedness”) is a hypothesis in psychology that argues that the human brain once assumed a state in which cognitive functions were divided between one part of the brain which appears to be “speaking”, and a second part which listens and obeys—a bicameral mind. The term was coined by psychologist Julian Jaynes, who presented the idea in his 1976 book The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind, wherein he made the case that a bicameral mentality was the normal and ubiquitous state of the human mind only as recently as 3000 years ago.”
I’ve uploaded a .pdf version of it to the library on my site, and I definitely recommend this read… Even for just those with simply a passing interest!

There is something so very appropriate about Mark Twain quotes in which most of us can in some way find applicable to everyday life situations. Enjoy!
*Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.
*Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please
*In the first place, God made idiots. That was for practice. Then he made school boards.
*There are lies, damned lies and statistics.
*It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.
*Don’t say the old lady screamed. Bring her on and let her scream.
*Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
*A man who carries a cat by the tail learns something he can learn in no other way.
*A person who won’t read has no advantage over one who can’t read.
*If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.
*Truth is stranger than fiction, but it is because Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; Truth isn’t.

Question A: Are Modern Satanists just atheistic posers who like creepy shit?
Answer A: No.
Question B: Are Satan Theists nothing more than the black sheep of the right-hand path?
Answer A: Yes.
The Modern Satanist is an individual that understands that ritual and spell-casting are cathartic activities, and all mythological personnages are metaphorical. What these beings symbolize speaks to the subconscience, which is a larger part of the mind than the conscience. On the other hand the theist, be it Christian or Satanic, accepts the literal existence of their gods. They “believe” that these entities reside in some supernatural realm and that their personal deities are their masters. Here is one of the major problems with the Satan theist. A true person on the left-hand path bows down to no one. He is antinomian, an iconoclast and the supreme indidvidualist. By willingly calling anyone, be it real or imagined, “Master” makes one part of the flock. A sheep. Like the Christian, the Satan theist joyfully follows the “clank” of the bellwether’s bell, hopefully to salvation, but more often than not to the slaughter (metaphorically speaking. . . most of the time).
But what I really wonder is how many of them, the faithful, actually believe in Satan? I think very few. Many have listened to too much Death/Black Metal and are now on a rebellious kick to spite their Christian parents. But the parents need not worry, because most will have their fat asses back in the pews, begging the “Good Lord” to forgive them for going astray. Yet, some of them really believe, and they share that same ability with their Christian kin that the Modern Satanists lacks: The ability to ignore their doubts! I have greater respect for the Christians, though. They have a 2,000 year old tradition and many of them have been indoctrinated into the faith from the time of birth. Most Satan theists, on the other hand, were not raised as such. To try to give their faith some legitimacy they claim it predates the Bible. But in reality they take bits of Summerian mythology and add in a whole lot of nonsense they make up, then call it truth! They believe their own bullshit!
Come now, you theists, you D&D geeks that can’t seem to get out of that fantasy realm. Don’t you hear that voice in the back of your head telling you that you’re being really fucking silly? Maybe in your mind that voice is nothing more than a gentle whisper, but in my head it would be a deep-voiced sonofabitch with a bullhorn!
But you may ask, “Why would an atheist call themself a Satanist? Why even bother with the label?” Because we love myth! We understand its meaning! And Satan best represents our inherent nature. Myth and mythological beings should be looked at as metaphorical guides leading one to spiritual wholeness, not as living entities! By seeing myth as history, and mythological beings as real, the meaning of these wonderous allegorical tales is lost. They become misconstrued in the psyche. The believer thinks he’s been touched by the deity, but in truth it’s just a misinterpretation of the language of myth.
I will conclude with the words of the late Joseph Campbell: “To take myth literally would be like going into a restaurant, seeing beef-steak on the menu and you begin to eat the menu.”

1. A Sect member does not believe, they “know”.
2. A Sect member does not have the mentality of a “victim”. They are accountable for their own actions and do not blame outside forces.
3. A Sect member knows altruism does not exist. Everything is done for selfish reasons.
4. A Sect member is courteous, but reserves respect for those that deserve it. (Satan is a gentleman!)
5. A Sect member knows the word “supernatural” is an oxymoron, for nothing can be “beyond nature”.
6. A Sect member uses empiricism instead of anecdotal evidence when in a debate.
7. A Sect member moves down the left-hand path instead of standing still, beating their chest, proclaiming their divinity.
8. A Sect member has a sense of humor! Being able to laugh at the absurdities of Life means they have not given in, or given up.
9. A Sect member uses the regrets of the past as the wisdom of today and the future!

I’ve noticed a rise in interest in mixing Communism with Satanism. It must be said that the two will NEVER congeal. When we compare Communism and Capitalism in Satanic context, it’s not hard to see where Satanism would truly flourish to it’s greatest potential.
With Communism, there’s always a core foundation that is built upon a sort of Marxist utopia. A leveling of classes and promises of betterment and equality for the proletariat.
I thought communism had always had a form of monarchy and birth rites anyway. As in any society, fundamentalism and totalitarian view finds ease on the coat tails of honorable intention. History has shown time and time again where it leads.
From the view of a Satanist, there are those that have power, and those that give it. Regardless of whether there were a common societal philosophy such as Satanism, absolute power would eventually corrupt absolutely. The strong within a group of strength would still rise, as to the intentions and their legitimacy relative to the masses…it would be solipsism to ‘hope’ that any mandate would hold the ‘greater good’ and mindfulness of you and your kin as paramount.
Capitalism is just as bad in the obvious separation of class and often deplorable conditions from birth. Out of the two political concepts, are the ‘masses’ in either one, any less likely to succumb to a predetermined societal role of sorts?
The traditional view of freedom in liberalism comes from the capitalist success stories. They become beacons because the system provides an out for a life many can agree is often shit. Communism attempts to inspire the individual to accept the existing ‘shit life’ for a ‘could be worse’ scenario.
There are so many gates at the starting line of Satanism, that really each pursuant path is reflective of one’s existing core convictions…Be it opportunistic, dominant, indulgent and hedonistic, artistic and philosophical, driven to succeed, or all of the above. One of the two societal structures certainly seems to allow Satanism to flourish more than the other in my opinion.
Unless you’re part of that 3%, it doesn’t matter the political ideology…you are under the thumb of those chosen by their predecessors to maintain power. Satanism involves more of a revolution of the mind and personal liberation from conceptual hindrances and dualism (among many other evolutionary epiphanies). It’s unlikely for a ‘Satanic Party’ to ever emerge and take their rightful place in current political arenas, in the West or in China as current examples of said ideologies and politics.
The only reason Capitalism is in the state it is, is due to a complacent herd that handed their life decisions to the more dominant within their ranks and submitted all decisive power to the voluntarily unseen.
So many stuck their head in the sand for so long, and are now slowly becoming aware how vulnerable their asses really are being straight up in the air.
Another Sunday morning sermon by Pastor Tom!
“Let us face ourselves. We are Hyperboreans; we know very well how far off we live. ‘Neither by land nor by sea will you find the way to the Hyperboreans’—Pindar already knew this about us. Beyond the north, ice, and death—our life, our happiness. We have discovered happiness, we know the way, we have found the exit out of the labyrinth of thousands of years. Who else has found it? Modern man perhaps? ‘I have got lost; I am everything that has got lost,’ sighs modern man. This modernity was our sickness: lazy peace, cowardly compromise, the whole virtuous uncleanliness of the modern Yes and No. … Rather live in the ice than among modern virtues and other south winds! We were intrepid enough, we spared neither ourselves nor others; but for a long time we did not know where to turn with our intrepidity. We became gloomy, we were called fatalists. Our fatum—abundance, tension, the damming of strength. We thirsted for lightning and deeds and were most remote from the happiness of the weakling, ‘resignation.’ In our atmosphere was a thunderstorm; the nature we are became dark—for we saw no way. Formula for our happiness: a Yes, a No, a straight line, a goal.”

Ritual is important. After all, it is a personal thing. It is a hard thing to compare with others and their own experience. Ritual takes me out of the light, lets me examine what matters and what doesn’t matter. It is a chance to make life better. You may come to the conclusion that with all the mental noise and exterior forces, that focusing is difficult. Ritual leads the way, it is aligning all the forces in one, even if there is an internal conflict between them, and sets them towards the same goal in life. This might sound fancy, but it is actually quit hard to make time for this and learn to focus. But it can certainly help you move on in your life. After all it is you who live it

There is something I wish to state, and it will be something that many of you will not agree with, but that is of no consequence to the truth of my words.
With me, what you see is what you get. My name on Facebook is my actual birth-name, the pictures of the little girl on my personal page are of my real daughter, Keagan; those of the Lady, my real wife of over 13 years, Lindsay; those of the dog, of my dog Zander; those of my travels are of a few places I have been to and seen with my own eyes. I am what I say I am, and have done that which I say I have done. I need no validation of these things, and no approval for my Path in life.
I have been a Walker of my own LHP for almost 20 years now, and before joining the Sect, had no group affiliations since 1998, when I left the CoS. In all ways and fashions, much of the LHP community makes me sick. I repeat this to make the point….it makes me sick. It has become vile and weak. Most are charlatans, fakes, phonies with no balls or legs to stand on. I have found there to be a disturbing number of individuals who think hiding behind made-up names (albeit I understand there are a few situations where they are necessary), sock accounts on the ‘net, dancing around (twirly, twirly, twirly), and theorizing about mysticism and the unseen and unknown, and only being critical of the Children of Abraham (as opposed to ALL beliefs that are considered “concrete”) is acceptable to someone who seeks true knowledge, true power. Well, my friends, you may as well play some old school D+D, because these “ways” are about as “real” as a role-playing game.
I am tired of the phoney bullshit that is rife throughout philosophy and “religion”. I am not perfect, by far, but I will tell you this: I strive daily to put into action my wishes, my desires, my Will. I manifest these things not in a subtle, off-handed, or obscure fashion. They are real and quantifiable.
All this cock-mockery aside, I ask a simple question of you, my brothers and sisters, my compatriots of Truth: Who are you? What are you?
The Sect of the Horned God has great potential within it, but we will only realize this potential at a cost (as anything, anything worth shit in life comes at a cost). This cost is different for each of us, yet the same in tone…..it is the cost of Truth.
We have NO room to criticize anyone for anything, unless we are BETTER than them. I cannot, for example, claim superiority to the X-tians if my behavior is just as incorrect. That would be hypocrisy. So BE better! I challenge all of you…. what is it that you are doing right here, right now, to better yourself? How are your ideals better than those you criticize? Examine yourself with a laser focus, without the stumbling blocks that ego and false pride can put in front of you. Be as hard, if not harder, on yourself as you are on others. This IS the only way. You are not inherently better than anyone else unless you prove it. Be REAL, or fall into the same trap of hypocrisy that you criticize and hate.
Take this as you will….an admonishment, a warning, a gentle reminder from one who does truly care for the future of all who read this…..but think on it. These are somewhat harsh words, but they may be required for some to wake up and take a hard look at themselves. Know this, they are from a stance of genuine fidelity to this group, and to all Walkers of their own LHPs.
Now, I understand that these words can seem hypocritical, and in some fashion, are. I do not live up to my own daily potential every single day. I have my failings, my weaknesses. The key is that I do everything I can to improve them, and I wish to see equal vigor in the pursuits that others undertake. All of you can become more…..I see your vast potential. Together, or as individuals, we can set a new standard of being. Do you have the Will to make it so?
One last thing….(in my best cartman) ….I love you guys…but ultimately, YOU have the onus of validation for what you claim to be. Something to ponder.
